The Honorable Gregory W. Slayton, early investor in Google and Salesforce, joins Bloombase Advisory Board
Sunnyvale, California – October 8, 2014 - Bloombase is pleased to announce the appointment of the Honorable Gregory Winston Slayton, an early investor in Google and Salesforce.com as a member of its Advisory Board. Bloombase will benefit from Mr. Slayton’s guidance on strategies for achieving international growth, advancing its leadership position in enterprise data security on an unmatched scale, and future-proofed for next generation infrastructure changes.

Mr. Slayton has had a storied career across the globe, running technology growth businesses in Silicon Valley, notching some huge wins in early stage high tech investing, serving his country as a senior US diplomat, and giving back to the next generation as an Ivy League Professor. Starting as a management consultant with McKinsey and Company, Mr. Slayton went on to serve as President/CEO of a number of successful technology companies. Through Slayton Capital, a private venture firm with offices in Silicon Valley and Northern Virginia, he has been an early investor in a number of high growth technology companies including Google and Salesforce. From 2005-2009, Mr. Slayton served as the United States Chief of Mission to Bermuda. Currently, Mr. Slayton augments his investment activities, and shares his deep international business experience as a trusted mentor and visiting professor at Peking University and various Ivy League business schools.
Mr. Slayton is Chairman of the Slayton Family Foundation, the Fellowship of Fathers Foundations, both of which are non-profit charities. He earned a BA in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from Dartmouth College and an MA in Asian Studies as a US Fulbright Scholar to Asia. He also earned an MBA (Honors) from the Harvard Business School.
